The Ohio State University shooting

Monday, November 28th around 9 am, terror struck Ohio State University after one of its own students turned violent on campus. Abdul Artan, an eighteen year old Somali student at the university, allegedly drove his car into a crowd of pedestrians on campus before getting out of his vehicle and stabbing people in the crowd with a butcher knife. Before the attacker was shot and killed by a police officer, he injured nine victims, many of whom have since been hospitalized.

The entire campus was placed on a lockdown for around an hour and a half under the pretense of an active shooter on campus. However, there was no evidence of the attacker actually possessing a gun. Campus officials and local authority figures believe that the attack was deliberate and may have even been planned in advance. Though the situation on campus is now under control, police and campus officials will continue to investigate the incident in hopes of finding a motive and creating a safer campus for students and faculty.
